Sasawashi was founded in response to the wastefulness and short lifespan of the textile industry. The fabric is woven from twisted washi paper yarns blended with kumazasa bamboo, which gives it natural antibacterial and deodorizing properties. Washi is lint-free, light, and highly absorbent, and it holds up in the wash just like cotton.
